I’m not usually a negative person at all, but I feel like something is happening that needs to be addressed. Every social media platform seems to be plagued by negativity surrounding this important day.
I Love New Year’s Day. It’s like finding the next gear in my spiritual climb–not a great metaphor, but you get the idea.
As the new year approaches, we have a chance to be thankful for the last year, and send out expectant hope about the future.
However, the prevailing attitude about 2017 seems to be “Whew! Glad that’s over with!”
How can we expect to have an abundant new year when we are swimming in negativity about the recent past? Will you end 2018 with the same attitude of “Well, that sucked!”?
Attitude/perspective is everything! The new calendar isn’t a “do-over”. It is a continuation of your beliefs.
Do yourself a favor. Take a moment today and think about all the wonderful things that happened last year. You were blessed. You had victories. You had new experiences. You made new friends. You added a chapter to your amazing story.
Use that positive momentum to carry you forward and upward into the coming year.
HERE’S TO…
I’m done. Thanks for indulging me.
Love you all!
